![]() Google up "Animal location maps call of the wild". If they are successful you can call until you are blue in the face and get nada for your time. Once an animal sees or hears you they will almost always try to circle downwind to catch your scent. If the line vanishes completely the animal will not notice you until it is about 5m away. A flat line means the animal can only see you when it is less than abut 25m away. You'll wnat to try and get the indicator changed to a flat line or to vanish entirely by crouching/standing under tree branches (evergreen trees work best for this). The smaller oval means you are half visible. See how the circle changed? A full cirlce means an animal can see you from 150yrds away. On your HUD you'll see a circle (like when you are standing in the open). ![]() 243 and soft nose bullets are not the best shot you could make. When Blacktail does respond to a call they typically meander about a little and then fast trot right at you. There is no penalty in this game for over calling. You have doe bleat caller already and it works. ![]() Meaning that with them you can sometimes see through the rushes and the binos will allow you to "spot" the animal that you'd npt see otherwise. Then all you have to do is figure out to get up on them from downwind (or at least a favorable crosswind). If you look close you can sometimes just make out the tips of their antlers moving as they drink. ![]() I canvas the tall rushes along the lakes with binos. 22 cal rifle for free from the red locker at the outstation. ![]()
